Arthritis in the Feet

Commonly called, Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis

Do you have arthritis in one or a number of your joints? Have you been told the only thing that can be done for the pain is to take medication or just deal with it?

The two main types of arthritis we see at Brindabella Podiatry are; osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. We regularly assess and treat both of these conditions to help keep our patients active. Treatment decisions and options vary depending upon the stage of arthritis and the joint which is affected. We can directly refer for X-Ray or Ultrasound which can be partially claimed from Medicare.

What Happens During a Consultation

We can help your joints move better which increases the life of the joint and reduces the pain associated with an arthritic joint/s. We often see people for knee arthritis or big toe joint arthritis, although, any joint can be affected.

We design orthotics and insoles to fit your shoes or you can select from one of our comfortable shoes on site. If the joint has advanced arthritis we can reduce movement in the joint, therefore reducing the inflammation and pain.

The team at Brindabella Podiatry have many years of experience to accurately assess and diagnose your condition. We have the most recent 3D foot imaging laser scanner and computerised pressure plate system which we use to help assess conditions and make orthotics when required.

Our appointments and orthotics can be claimed on the spot from your Health Fund and no referral is necessary.

If you are concerned about arthritis in the feet or knees, book a biomechanical assessment today.
